The Southern Bowling Congress, a member
of the United States Bowling Congress, is a
confederation of nine southern states that manage and
host an annual tournament and also support the Youth of
our region by granting
Scholarships to
worthy young people. The tournament, which is open
to all certified USBC members, is held at
various cities in the South and hosted by the local
Association.
The SBC has been in existence since 1920
with a short hiatus during World War II.
Each year at our Board of Directors
meeting at the tournament, we select the city that will
host the tournament two years out.
We meet each August for a mid-year
meeting in Jackson, MS. Besides the Board Meeting,
we also have a golf tournament and a bowling tournament.
We invite all bowling associations,
within our region, to participate and be a part of our
growing organization.
